Basic Knowledge of X10
X10 module(s) is identify by house code (A,B, ....) and unit code (1,2,...), Each house will assign one house code, each module in your house will assign Unique Unit code e.g A1, A2, A3.....
In order to receive X10 signal to PC machine, you must have either X10's PC Receiver(sold separately) or X10's ActiveHome Package (sold separately).
The X10's ActiveHome automation kit include TM751 and CM11A. Software "Facebookcam" will take the advantage of Wireless feature of X10 technology. Motion Sensor sends wireless radio frequency signals to an X10 transceiver (TM751). The receiver then passes signals onto your house wiring to CM11A. CM11A send serial signal to PC via serial port. This software "facebookcam" will determine to trigger user and turn on Alarm. (FIG A)
X10's PC Receiver is a receiver only and do not require connect to AC
outlet, The PC Receiver is needed for wireless interactive control using
your PC. In order to take advantage X10's motion sensors, the PC Receiver
is required to be connected to your PC. This small device attaches to your
serial port and monitors the wireless RF signals around your home or office.
When it receives the proper X10 signal, it relays the instructions to the
"facebookcam" software which is running on your PC. (FIG B)

Description: This device designed to transmit Wiireless signals when
motion is detected. Great for hallways, stairwell, front entrance ways,
garages or any other localized sensing area. Requires PC RF receiver or
ActiveHome. Says it has up to a 100 foot range without blocking(Wall).
Requires two AAA batteries, not included. Can be set to any of the 256
hous/unit codes. MS14A not really designed for outdoor operation, since
batteries could not operate under Zero degree.

The Outdoor Motion Monitor is completely weatherproof and can be used
with incandescent or halogen bulbs up to 150W. The floodlights
can also be turned on manually from an X10 transmitter. (Require X10's
ActiveHome automation kit, must be install by certify installer)
